    Settings 1: Set up Permalinks for your Blog

    In your new wordpress blog, your posts and pages have numbers in URL not post titles. For example your post URL will be like this:

    Search engines don’t love this URL format. So it is necessary to change your URL structure in your blog. But how easy it is? Very easy. It can be done in simple steps.

    How to change your URL structure for posts and pages?

    1. In your wordpress admin area, go to ‘Permalinks’ under ‘Settings’ Tab in left navigation.

      2.  Select ‘Custom structure’ option and fill the box with ‘/%postname%/’. Press ‘Save changes’ button.

    You have finished the URL set up. I have given post title as ‘title post 1’. So URL looks like in below image.

    Settings 2: Set up Number of posts in Blog pages

    In new wordpress blog, up to 10 posts will be shown in a single page. You can limit the number of posts to be shown in a page. Follow below steps.

    1. Go to ‘Reading’ option under ‘Settings’ tab.

      2. Change the number in ‘Blog pages show at most’ option. In default, it is 10. After change done, don’t forget to click ‘Save changes’ button.

    Now you can see only the given number of posts in your home page.
