This process is same as naming your new born child. Your new born baby doesn’t have name. You are connecting baby to world via a name which is known to all. Editing Name servers also same like this. You are connecting your domain & hosting.
We have already purchased domain & hosting for our blog. Now we are going to edit the name servers details you got from hosting company (here Hostgator).
1. Log in to your name.com.
2. Click ‘Account’ icon.
3. Click on your domain name.
4. In next page, right column, Click ‘Edit Name Servers’.
5. In next page, you will see the old Name servers. You have to click ‘remove’ in each of them.
6. After removing all old ones, you have to add new Name servers you got via email from Hostgator. Add all Name servers. Usually Hostgator sends two Name servers details.
7. After successfully added the Name servers, you have to wait 24 hours. Within 24 hours your Name servers will be matched with your hosting.
After 24 hours, we can access your blog via yourdomainname.com/cpanel & install the wordpress. In next post, I will guide you how to install wordpress. After wordpress installed your blog ready.
